John 4:5-26- come down to our zionsville church to worship with us!
five So he arrived to a city in Samaria called Sychar, close to the plot of ground Jacob received specified to his son
Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was through the journey, sat down by the well. It
was concerning the sixth hour.

7 When a Samaritan lady arrived to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you
give me a consume?” 8 (His disciples received gone into the city to purchase meals.) 9 The Samaritan lady said to
him, “You are a Jew and I’m a Samaritan lady. How can you ask me for your consume?” (For Jews don’t
associate with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks
you for your consume, you’d have asked him and he would have specified you residing water.” eleven “Sir,” the
lady said, “you have nothing at all to draw with and also the well is deep. Where can you get this residing water?

12 Do you think you’re greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his
sons and his flocks and herds?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty
all over again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will in no way thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will
turn out to be in him a spring of water welling up to eternal existence.” 15 The lady said to him, “Sir, give me this
water so that I will not get thirsty and need to maintain coming right here to draw water.” 16 He advised her, “Go, call
your spouse and come back again.”

17 “I don’t have any spouse,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are correct
whenever you say you have no spouse. 18 The actuality is, you have received five husbands, and also the guy you now
have is not your spouse. What you have just said is quite true.” 19 “Sir,” the lady said, “I can see
that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews declare that the area
exactly where we should worship is in Jerusalem.”

21 Jesus declared, “Believe me, lady, a time is coming
when you will worship the father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship
what you don’t know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is through the Jews. 23 Yet a time is
coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the father in spirit and reality, for they
would be the type of worshipers the father seeks.

24 God is spirit, and his worshipers should worship in spirit
and in reality.” 25 The lady said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he
will describe every thing to us.” 26 Then Jesus declared, “I who {speak~communicate~converse
