The illegal hiring of immigrants by employers is going to be severely cut down due to the new federal program introduced by the authorities. Reporting of such cases is also encouraged by the program. This program has been intended in reply to the recent instances of employers who were prosecuted for hiring illegal foreigners. Even though the restrictive measures included court cases against employers violating the immigration law some of whom were sent to jail, many of them continued to break this law. A wave of indignation was triggered among the law abiding employers so the government officials were forced to issue a decree which guaranteed fair treatment to those employers. According to this immigration directive, only after companies verify they do not hire alien workers, will they be considered clean hirers. In order to be issued hiring certificates the companies must go through a number of compulsory procedures one of which is to present to the authorities their employees’ records.
