Strengthen your abdominal muscles and lose body fat. The concept is simple, but putting it into action isn’t simple at all. It will take dedication, time and patience to get a six pack. For people who commit to it, they will enjoy the look they get. In order to have a washboard stomach a person will have to eat right and exercise. You get this by dieting and exercising daily. You can have the most toned and muscular abs, but it will not show if there is a layer of fat over them. What follows are ways in which you can accomplish both of these goals.

1. Do cardio workouts. There is no way to target fat loss in any area of your body and if you try to follow a program that promises to be the quickest way to lose weight in 2 weeks you will find that you will still need to lose some of that extra fat over your abs because even if you workout and get gigantic ab muscles, if there is still a layer of fat over them no one will ever get to see them and crash diets do nothing to get rid of the fat. Cardio workout are workouts that raise your heart rate for a given set of time.

2. Do not over eat at supper. Large dinners tend to hurt a fat loss process because most people aren’t very active after dinner. In order to lose the flab you need to take in less calories than you use and this is made more difficult by eating big suppers. Instead of eating three big meals split your eating into three smaller meals supplemented by snacks. By choosing natural and fresh snacks between meals you can satisfy your hunger without ruining your diet.

3. Add resistance training to your work out. If you replace your fat with muscle you will use the energy in your body more efficiently. Plus, resistance training is important to limit the amount of muscle mass lost while reducing your calorie intake.

4. Keep your metabolism steady. Eating one small meal every three hours that you are awake will not speed up your metabolism, rather, it will keep it going, since your metabolism goes and slows with your food intake and eating something small every three hours will keep that metabolism burning calories and will help you learn how to slim down fast.

5. Make sure to stay hydrated. For fat loss purposes, it is important to remind yourself that thirst is a much weaker stimulus than hunger. Just because you are taking in less food does not mean that you have to feel like you need more food. You may simply be thirsty.
Because you drink more, you will also need to relieve your bladder more which can lead to a diminishing amount of nutrients in your body. If you are exercising heavily and sweating a lot, you will need to replace your salts as well as fluids. There are lots of special drinks that are marketed that help replace the needed nutrients.
6. Eat more natural foods. Some people are looking for the best way to lose weight with hypothyroidism and switch out refined grains for whole grains because research has shown that people who ate all whole grains in addition to five servings of fruits and vegetables, three servings of low-fat dairy, and two servings of lean meat, fish, or poultry lost more belly fat than another group that ate the same diet, but with all refined grains. By eliminating the refined foods a person is able to better regulate their body and its functions. This hastens the melting of fat.

If a person eats right and exercises they will flatten their stomach. The other important part is to commit to doing it.
