The art and science of Feng Shui is related to Chinese astrology in that it is based on calendar cycles, energy directions, and five basic elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. These elements do not always refer to matter, but also to subtle forms of basic energy that is constantly changing and moving. Elements are always in a continuous two phase cycle, such as positive versus negative or productive versus destructive.chakra meditation music Each element has certain color associations, and these colors can be used in the home to strengthen the influence of that specific element. Green and brown are the colors to which wood corresponds. Colors like red, orange, purple and strong yellow are all related to fire. Light yellow ,tan and light brown– Earth. White and gray correlate with metal Water goes with blue and black. How and where you put the elemental colors throughout your house is determined by your energy map, by your ‘bagua’. Health and family well-being may be encouraged by using green in the eastern part of the home. In the Northern region blue is commonly used to fortify career plans. According to feng shui, creative endeavours are supported by pure white in the west. Using yellow in the southern area of your home is associated with being social and happy. The art of feng shui is very detailed and complex, but as you learn the various components, associations, and directions, you may find that color is a source of tranquility and stability in your daily life.
