Sometimes life can have a negative affect on someone and that is why they need encouragement.

There are several ways to encourage; through your words, through your touch, or through a gift. Although you can choose how you want to encourage someone, everyone is different and what encourages one person may not work on the other so treat everyone differently as you decide how you can encouragement.

Methods Of Giving Encouragement
There are several ways to encourage someone.

* Offer someone a hug.

* Send a card that lets them know that you are thinking about them, you understand, or you are praying for them. Just knowing someone is thinking of them can be enough to bolster and increase self esteem.

* Call someone who needs encouraging. If you know someone is at home worrying about their situation you may want to take time to call them to see if they are okay and to offer them some encouraging words to help them get through.

* Send someone an email that encourages them. Sometimes you can say a lot in an email, especially if you don’t have time to call them or you don’t have any way of calling them. You can also send an email when you are running low on time.

* Send an E-Card to encourage someone. If you don’t have time to send a card through the mail you can send an E-Card in order to encourage someone.

Encouragement can be a Two Way Process
People may need encouragement for several reasons; starting a new job, getting married, going through a divorce, a loss of a loved one, birth of a child, finding out about an illness, suffering from an addiction, graduating school or college and more. Encouragement is sometimes all someone needs in order to accomplish their goal. Encouragement is needed at any age, including babies. Encouraging them to crawl will encourage them to pull up. Encouraging them to pull up will lead to them standing and eventually walking. Encouragement can help anyone do anything.

Encouraging someone can also be encouraging to you as well. Make an effort to encourage someone as often as you can. Somebody somewhere needs words of encouragement from you today. You can encourage by simply touching someone’s shoulder or hugging them up without saying a word. You may also encourage through email. Saying what you feel can be understood in so many ways. Encouragement is a great way to show someone that you love them. And is an important step on your own path of personal development and growth.
