Persuasion is equally as rich and intricate as learning a new language and playing a musical instrument, and maybe even more so, because once you know a language, aside from learning more difficult words, and once you play an instrument, aside from learning more challenging compositions, there is a finite amount of information you can learn.

With persuasion, we are dealing with an ever expanding field with breakthroughs happening one after the other.

Amazing results can be achieved through hypnotic language patterns. They are simple but very powerful tools and you will want to add them to your skills as soon as you see the power.

People think they make conscious decisions but most decision making happens at an unconscious level. For example have you ever been in a shop determined not to buy anything and yet you did. This is your unconscious mind at play. Once someone buys in to your way of thinking they automatically come over to your side and persuasion is easy. Getting your unconscious mind to buy in is the only question.

Whilst persuasion skills draw from many different schools of study one of the most useful is hypnosis. This is because hypnotists are already used to bypassing conscious resistance. It can take minutes to learn a few simple but powerful hypnotic language patterns for persuasion even though hypnotherapy can take a lot of effort.

As an example you can redirect a person’s thoughts using a redefine formula. This is only six words long and takes less than ten minutes to learn. So how would you it?

As a parent you might take your children from being upset about something to how much fun they will have tomorrow. You might take an argument and move from resistance to seeing the issue from your point of view. A sales person might move the focus from price to benefits of buying. A manager might take a poor performing team and refocus them away from low moral to winning against the odds. In any situation where you want someone to stop thinking about one thing and start thinking about another a redefine pattern is useful. As persuasion skills go this is a simple and very powerful pattern.
