The overwhelming majority of people would love to improve their public speaking confidence.

Am I right?

But mastering public speaking can sometimes be fearful.

Many of us are usually overcome with fear when we’ve got to speak in public and that fear is cause by our own absence of confidence.

And that confidence drainer is our own little voice within our heads.

You know the one. That inner voice inside your head which tells you off or stops you trying something new or reminds you to call somebody or tells you to have some chocolate!

So what does your inner voice say when youare getting ready to go onto the stage and in public speak?

Does it say This is gong to be fun i can’t wait to start or does it say You cannot do this you are going to look so foolish.

Which one? Honestly?

How often has your inner voice stopped you trying something new?

How often do you let your inner voice talk you out of doing something?

Now imagine if your inner voice, which is stopping you moving forward, was a genuine person with a genuine voice. So you are just about to give a show to an audience made of 100 senior staff and your best mate asserts, you are going to mess this one up. You are going to forget your words, you are going to be dumb.

Somebody will ask a question and you won’t know the answer . Don’t do it, it’s not worth the suffering or pain.

How’s that make you feel? Your best mate has just ridiculed you. Let me know, they wouldn’t be your best mate for long, if they really did that.

Thatis exactly what you are permitting your own inner voice to do to you every single day.

Why?

You are in control. In fact, just listen to your inner voice for the subsequent hour and see how many negatives things it is telling you. Make a note of them write them down.

You will be dazzled how many times your inner voice is telling you negative things.

You need to stop the negative comments now.

You need to turn them around and make your inner voice talk to you in a positive way.

The next time you are about to go on stage, let your voice say to you :
The audience is going to love you. Youare going to be funny, charismatic, engaging. You are going to wow the crowd with your knowledge.

By controlling your inner voice and making it positive, it can only improve your public speaking confidence.
